One of the best Social Networking tips is creating content. The Content Marketing Institute (CMI) conducted a survey that asked marketers enlisted five tactics of content relevant to their sites. The result was a document that enrolled 42, but this time we present the top 10 in the list.
And, according to the website that specializes in marketing for next year content will remain the king, “even ahead of social networking and other online strategies.”
According to the WCC document the most important tactic for marketers in 2012 will be the blogs . Blogs, because its logic, allow the generation of new content, SEO optimized and user interaction through comments.
The WCC highlighted in the document that is important to encourage blog readers to comment , either positively or negatively, and subscribe to RSS service to keep track of updates.
The second tactic here are the newsletters . Such services can maintain constant communication with users in the first instance inform on developments (ebooks, white papers, wikis) and allow access to your information through subscriptions to them.
The white papers are the third tactic. The WCC calls it the “granddaddy” of content, these are reports of issues requiring explanations nourished, with the total length of 8 to 12 pages in PDF format. What these digital documents generated, in short, is leading the site, as users that downloaded observed that the company really knows about the topic and is an authority.
For marketers surveyed, articles occupy the fourth position. An article may be an extension of short, medium or long, which are analyzed and discussed various issues, whether joint or not. The recommendations of the WCC are: a single article is not enough for a theme, it is necessary to give up, let your articles can be printed and viewed on the Web, so users always have the information at hand, always think from the standpoint of the editor, because the content has to be attractive to readers.
eBook is the fifth tactic in this ranking. They are similar to white papers, but larger, between 12 and 40 pages, which present comprehensive information, attractive and readable for users. The content, indicating the WCC, is as informative and entertaining. The high school principal recommendation is that the content including graphics, data tables, lists, etc., to be as friendly as possible.
The seventh position is occupied by the testimonials . These are the stories from customers about their experiences with products or services. Generally speaking about the problems they had and how the provider helped solve them. It is important to create a system to keep up to date testimonials, but watch out, one should not overwhelm users with them.
And believe it or not, the eighth tactic is Twitter , Facebook still above. Micro-blogging allows a real-time conversation with the followers, which will help measure the Klout with regard to the brand.
The webinars or webcasts are the ninth tactic, lets put one of the presentations of the company in the network. The webinar will only consider films and audio, the webcast, meanwhile, feature films, audio and video. Through these it is possible to train users and supplement that training with white papers or ebooks. A round benefit.
Finally, the video . On many occasions we have published about the benefits of creating a marketing strategy. The videos allow viral content, in fact, the best viral campaigns are done through videos, as in the case of Mercedes Benz.
