Social Networking Tips

It is hard to believe the year is almost over.  I am thinking about 2008 and all the exciting things in place.  Each year I like to look back and see what I have learned for the past year.

What I learned in 2007:
Speaking is my heart. Thanks to T.Harv Eker for allowing me to speak at the World’s Greatest Marketing Event.  For about 2 minutes I understood what it felt like to be a Rock Star.  I am realigning my company to get me speaking more.

Don’t assume anything in business. Even when things seem really clear be sure to get things in writing and have both parties explain expectations and create milestones.  Makes a powerful partnership.

Family really is the most important thing. My father passed away suddenly this year from a heart attack.  I realize that it is very easy to say “I am busy right now…..how about we get together next month”.   I won’t ever get a second chance to say good bye to my dad.

Everyone needs a great coach, a great mentor and a great team. For years I have thought I needed other people to help me run my company.  I have been working with Dave Luke of The Growth Coach, Eric Lofholm and Dr. Mark Waller to get all things working together.  Now my head, heart and passions are working together.  It is amazing how much faster you can move with great Mentors and Coaches.

Dreams do come true. My business partner, Mark Bush, is proof of that. He has set such a great example of what is possible when you put your ego aside and focus on your dream.  We have been working on his membership website for over a year.  It will be launched in a big way in 2008.  I learned that synergy makes dreams come true.  I keep reviewing my 100+ dreams and now I see them coming into plain site.

Planning creates time. The irony about this is that it takes some time to plan.  In the long run, you can do a lot more with a little planning.

Acting like a kid is FUN! The most fun I have had has been being totally silly with my daughter.  We both laughed until we cried from doing the craziest dances while making up silly songs.  Maybe I should publish some of those for a good laugh.
