Social Networking Article: Powerful lessons for life
In Loving Memory of Dr. Randy Pausch
This is one of the most powerful talks I have ever heard. It helped me put things into perspective. I was struggling with a business issue and it felt tiny after watching this video. Some of the key things highlighted in this video:
- This talk is about life not death. It is about achieving your childhood dreams.
- When someone is going to ride you – they care to make you better….when they don’t say anything it means they have given up on you.
- The brick walls are there not to keep you out. They are there to prove to you how much you want something.
- Have a sense of fun in everything you do.
- In life we get a choice: People or Things. What really matters the most?
- Which are you in life? Are you a tigger (energetic, optimistic, curious, enthusiastic, they have fun) or an eyeore
- If you want to achieve your dreams: Work and play with well with others.
- Tell the truth.
- Good apology has 3 parts. 1. I am sorry 2. It was my fault 3.How do I make it right?
- If you wait long enough people will show their good side. Be patient.
- Show gratitude.
- If you live your life correctly, the dreams will come to you.

Thanks, Sabrina, for making this available to watch…I’ve heard about it, but never took the time to find it.
It is so easy to forget that we are all in the process of dying. Dr. Pausch just had the advantage of knowing when (which in my mind offset the disadvantage of it being so soon). I need to be constantly reminded to live each day as if it were my last, because one of these days (and only God knows when that day will come), it will be!
Remember to live today, Tom! Hit it hard…love it up…have some fun…make a difference! Don’t leave any change on the table today!
Thanks again, Sabrina…you are a gem! I am so happy to have become friends with you!

This video and Dr. Pausch really puts things into perspective.
I too am so grateful that our paths have crossed and that we could experience this life together. I am so amazed at what incredible people are in our Social Networking group. I am continually touched with your generosity and kind nature.
No matter how long this journey for each of us lasts…we can know that we made a difference right now. Big hugs…..your friend. Sabrina

Just before I logged on and saw this video I was all stressed out and worried about how my house would look today for guests arriving.
Thanks for this sharing this video – it put my life back into perspective and reminded me how important just living is. My father always said to us “never lose sight of the fact that just living is fun”. I believe it more and more everyday. Have a splendid day and again thanks for sharing.

My daughter has this cute expression: “You have already won if you have had fun”. It is amazing how we get caught up with our “busy” ness and forget it is about having fun. Thanks for sharing.

I was just watching this video for the 4th or 5th time. It sure puts things into perspective. With all the doom and gloom these days I have so much to be thankful for and I am so looking forward to the future. Thank you Sabrina.
